Tupwood Gate achieves accreditation for Gold Standards Framework

Tupwood Gate Nursing Home

We are delighted to announce that Tupwood Gate Nursing Home has achieved accreditation for the Gold Standards Framework for Care Homes (GSFCH).

The aim of GSFCH is to achieve one gold standard of care for ALL people nearing the end of their life by creating a quality assurance tool for quality improvement and quality recognition.

To qualify for accreditation, care homes must have undertaken the full GSFCH Training programme over 9 months, embedded this into their homes for at least 6 months and then undertaken a rigorous accreditation process 'Going for Gold'. The full process has taken over two years and it is a testament to the hard work and commitment of all the staff at Tupwood Gate that we have achieved this outcome.

The GSFCH accreditation process 'Going for Gold', is supported by Age UK and endorsed by the English Community Care Association, Registered Nursing Home Association, National Care Association and National Care Forum. For more information on the Gold Standards Framework please visit the GSF website.
