Long Term Care
Our residential facilities are superb. All rooms whether single or shared, have full ensuite facilities. There are many comfortable lounges with TV and video, beautiful grounds and a large, bright conservatory. We provide 24 hour qualified nursing care and weekly visits from a GP.
Palliative Care
Our palliative care aims to maintain and where possible, improve quality of life for patients and their families. During this difficult and upsetting time, our dedicated staff will ensure the utmost dignity, respect and care is given to the patient and their family.
Dementia Care
Tupwood Gate has 15 beds dedicated to dementia care. Often this means caring for someone who may be suffering from memory loss, confusion and changes to behaviour.
Post-operative and convalescent care
Our exceptional care and facilities are suitable for people who have been discharged from hospital but who have not yet recovered sufficiently to return home.
Short stay respite care
We offer our exceptional care and facilities for short stays while carers rest or are on holiday. This service is also suitable for people who have been discharged from hospital but who have not yet recovered sufficiently to return home. Respite care is available on a nightly basis.
Flexible day care packages
A flexible service designed to provide variety in a daily routine or to allow carers to take a break.
At Tupwood Gate, joining our day care service means you can benefit from our full therapy programme including nursing care on a daily basis; structured occupational therapy sessions and access to our recreational therapy programme. Other benefits include receiving help with bathing using our specialist, soothing hydrotherapy spa bath; joining in our entertainment and social outings programme or using our hairdresser or visiting chiropodist – all while enjoying the social life centred around the house.
Day care is offered on an entirely flexible basis – half-day or whole day; on a weekly or fortnightly basis in any pattern suiting the resident and their family.
Bathing service
As part of our flexible day care provision we also provide a bathing service. Our modern hydro-bath allows the bather to enjoy a relaxing, full depth bath with the minimum of effort.
Pampering “spa” day care
Why not treat your friend or relative to one of our special “Spa” days? This day of pampering will include a hydro-bath, manicure, pedicure and lunch.
